Default New 2016 wrx sti engine run in

hi folks , many many opinions on this but anyone any got their own proof / ideas on this , picking up my new wrx sti on Wednesday and will have a 120 motorway miles home , could be slow one as its on the m25 !!!,
The car would have done 34 miles as it had to be dealer transferred from another dealer ( also if I get it in and it has pulled max boost by an over keen mechanic should I refuse it ???? )
So what we thinking chaps ...and ladies

Yes it stores max peak on comp , that's my thoughts and my missus is now refusing to come with me to collect incase I kick off ! I'm hoping a subaru mechanic / salesman would know better but it's not their car I suppose so probably driven like its stolen

Wouldn't worry about showing it boost. Its better showing it some rather than off boost as it wont have bedded the rings into the bores otherwise. up to 4000rpm show it some boost and you will be fine for the first 1000 miles

Just builds momentum in the engine, Boost and varied load is the ideal combination. Motorway's arnt really ideal sitting at the same speed.

Why don't you go and pick it up from the original dealership. I'm sure you can insist on picking it up from there.

Too late car was collected on Thursday , it's still 80 miles to that dealer. My local one was £1400 too expensive !
