SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Admin please remove.

I have paid the premium upgrade but it still wont let me post in the for sale section so I will post in here for now and move it to the correct section when it will let me.

So here I am gauging interest in my totally unmolested 2005 ‘55’ MY05 Subaru Impreza 2.0L WRX STi Type UK Widetrack. It is finished in stunning Crystal Gray Metallic and currently has just over 54k on it. I have the original bill of sale (30/09/2005) which includes the following added extras fitted to the car,

• Prodrive Performance Pack (PPP),
• Rear Cargo Tray,
• Carpet Mat Set,
• Leather upgrade, a £1600 optional extra.

I bought this car in October 2013 as a 30th birthday present to myself and I am the 3rd owner. It was registered on 30 September 2005 by Crossroads Subaru in Warwickshire and has full service history. When I purchased the car it had been looked after solely by Crossroads and since then I’ve have only let a local Subaru and Mitsubishi Evo specialist, GR-Performance look after it and is all fully documented.

• 21/11/2005 – 1,085miles – 1000 mile First Service £47.60 (Crossroads Subaru)

• 06/11/2006 – 9,307miles – 10,000 Full Service £251.49 (Crossroads Subaru)

• 25/10/2007 – 14,437miles – 20,000 Full Service £296.06 (Crossroads Subaru)

• 22/09/2008 – 20,777miles – 30,000 Full Major Service including Front Pad Change £850.14 (Crossroads Subaru)

• 28/09/2009 – 27,614miles – 40,000 Full service £415.74 (Crossroads Subaru)

• 29/09/2010 – 33,238miles – 50,000 Full Service including Timing belt Change £594.71 (Crossroads Subaru)

• 21/09/2011 – 36,987miles – 60,000 Full Major Service £708.25 (Crossroads Subaru)

• 22/8/2012 – 41,483miles – 70,000 Full Service including Rear Pad Change 497.83 (Crossroads Subaru)

• 15/11/13 – 45,622miles – Full Major Service including Fuel Pump Change £404 (GR Performance)

• 25/11/2013 - Full health check and neutral position switch fitted with Dyno run to confirm. £160 (GR Performance)

• 24/10/2014 – 49,105miles Full Service Including Timing Belt Change £372 (GR Performance)

• 15/10/2015 – 53,616miles Full Major Service £348 (GR Performance)

When I bought the car I took it to GR Performance for a full health check plus service, where it was found that the fuel pump was giving weak pressure and the neutral position switch was only working intermitted. So the fuel pump was upgraded to a Walbro replacement and the position switch for new OEM speck item. Also I had the spark plugs upgraded at the same time. After this it was given a dyno run to confirm and gave a healthy 313BHP and 273.7lbft (With report to prove). I have resisted the urge to modify or change the car instead replacing any parts with OEM or like for like upgraded parts as to keep the authenticity of the car.

As can be seen the car is very low mileage for its age and I have regularly washed and detailed the car to keep it in tip top condition. The bodywork on the car is in superb condition with no dints or damage to it. It does have some stone chipping to the front of the car but nothing more than is to be expected of a car of its age. If I was going to be picky, there is a small scratch near the front of the bonnet (it was there when I bought the car) and there is some slight wear on the driver’s seat from getting in and out.
The car is MOT’d until 07/10/2016, so plenty of test left on it. Also it is taxed until April 2016 but due to the new rules brought in the tax cannot be transferred to the new owner. Speaking of Tax, due to it being a ‘55’ plate model it falls into the lower tax bracket and was only £285 last year to tax.

When I got the car it already had the standard widetrack wheels painted black but the front two were not to my standard so I had them repainted at metal magic (well renown local powder coaters) to freshen them up and at the same time I had fitted (following advice from scoobynet members) 4 235/45/17 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires that have done less than 2k miles and are still like new.

The interior benefits from full ultra rare leather STi seats (Factory fitted) complemented with matching door cards. It has the later ‘Widrtrack’ dash fitted to it and I have fitted a Kenwood double din CD/DVD/iPod/Bluetooth/Sat Nav/USB radio (Standard Included). This is an excellent item that includes hands free connection for any Bluetooth enabled mobile phone and has external mic fitted.

Engine wise it is totally standard and still has the prodrive exhaust which is fairly quiet but still gives a nice growl when you put your foot down. The only things I have done to it are to fit the Rallytech stainless bolt kit/ battery strap and cleaned it. For me it is more than powerful as standard with the PPP pack but with upgraded spark plugs and fuel pump it could easily be remapped to give a little more power for little money.

This is a very reluctant sale and has taken some consideration to come to this decision but I just don’t use the car enough and with a busy year coming up I am keen to release some of the funds I have in this car to be used elsewhere. Value wise I want £9K, taking into consideration the condition, authenticity and the low mileage of the car which I think is a fair price so I’m sticking to this figure.

Your welcome view anytime as I do keep it garaged so it’s nice and dry away from the elements, plus well lit. Usual rules apply, no test drives unless valid insurance is provided and I have the cash in hand. You crash you pay, had too many dreamers and test pilots over the years when selling high performance cars but expect nothing but genuine from anybody on this site. It currently has my private plate on that is not included in the sale but only takes approx a week to remove when done online which I will carry out if/ when I have a potential sale.

Thank you for looking and I hope to hear from you.

Jon

Forgot to mention, I had it fully wax oiled when I had the pads fitted so that won't need doing for a while either along with the Godspeed updated pads

Lovely example in all respects... apart from that leather, sorry I think it looks horrendous, even worse than what you get in a Focus RS mk1!

I wasn't keen on the leather at first either but once I got the car it is really nice and a very rare and expensive upgrade. But I'm sure if the buyer didn't like the leather I'm certain someone would swap there standard STi 9 seats and they would probably gain some cash out of the deal too

I know have thought long and hard about it for a while now and I probably will regret it at some point (someone ought to be quick as I've time to change my mind yet, lol!) but I have too many toys at the minute so need to condense them down and the scoob doesn't deserve to be locked away in my garage.

Not got a replacement yet but if/ when I sell it depends on those itchy feet!

Watch this space, lol!

Thank you pal, it is a lovely car.

As for the price I've seen some go for more and some less so pitched it in the middle, I'm not greedy I just want the car to go to a good home and not have the of hassle haggling over the price, 9k is fair so 9k will take it away

A few years back, exactly. Nice widetrack blobs are getting hard to find now. For me, this is a 10k car (ovno).

Thanks for the nice comments and yes good blob's are getting hard to find now especially the Widetrack ones, but like I said in my earlier post I think I've priced it fairly so I'm happy and so will any potential buyer

I've bought an exact same car with 47k on the clock. Paid £11.5k FYI. But that was from Hurst Cars.

Just out of interest, what would you pay for for a similar car with higher mileage, say 80k?

Hi I'm not sure how many there are but I suspect not many. I only know of yours mine and one other. That's so strange we have the same car, same mileage and same interior, the only difference is the colour and yes there's still time for me to change my mind even though I have had plenty of interest it's still here
