Also known as Rolling Radius. If you increase your wheels by an inch, then you have to decrease the tyre profile by 10mm I think.
e.g. 205/50R15 (15") would become 215/40R16 (16") or something like that. Therefore the size of the rubber remains the same overall but the amount of alloy in the middle is bigger.
