Pat is indeed an excellent mapper but notwithstanding the recent video evidence taking a car to a company that could now be under legal and financial pressure may not be a wise move.

So from the "loyalty club" posts there is a house, mortgage, a months wages and a Subaru all put up betting the OP is a liar.

Bet you all feel a little stupid now

No the garage owner can't control what his staff do, and they might be quitting now, but you can't start slagging off the customer, especially until you've asked the staff and watched the footage.

Many are still stating they'll take their car there. Congratulations. Anyone worth their salt on here will do their digging into a sellers previous posts and see your **** poor attitude to the facts and hopefully steer clear of your "pride n joy" - unless they want to replace the suspension and wheels......

Those of you saying "the actions of one spoil the business" etc - well did the passenger comment against it? No. Did they report it to manager/owner - seems not - else he wouldn't have made those stupid-*** comments on the forum.

It more appears that it is the general culture there, and god knows how many cars have been ripped up and down those potholes without a care.

Sadly loads of companies do this kind of stuff. I once had a newish CTR and took it to a really well known company A** in Crewe and when I got it back it felt as though it had a different engine in it. Turned out when they gapped the new plugs they bent all of the electrodes on the spark plugs. Long story, but I had no proof... Did they want to know? Heck No! When I said I'd post it on the CTRO forum, they treatened me with all sorts - liable, court, the lot. I of course back down, but I knew the truth. The plugs were brand spanking new! When Honda removed them they were all bent. I took pics and even sent them over and their reply was that I could have bent them. How ridiculous!
This stuff makes me sick to the bone and reminds me of what happened to my car six years ago.
All of these companies are robbers and of course, all they want is your money. It's shocking and saddening to see that companies treat customers cars like this. I know how it feels and it's not nice at all. At least the OP has proof, which has shut the garage owner up. Just wish I had too when I had my ordeal.
Hope they sort something out for you and for everyone else, vote with your feet. As suggested RCM are expensive and had that issue with someone's engine build... However, Paul and Ren @ Zen are really good. Don't lose faith because they were so good to me and treated my car amazingly well. I also went to Mark at TDR and If I still had my V9 JDM STI, those are the places where I'd still be taking it.

Rumours knocking about on facebook SC are going to try and sue because they didn't authorise the use of a dash cam to film them? Hopefully that rumour isn't true as that's just a **** move.

if they try that they're bigger idiots than anyone thought. You don't need permission to take video in public, or on your own private property. you MIGHT need permission if you intend to use that footage for commercial purposes, but that clearly isn't the case here.

The damage is done, and it was done by Scoobyclinic/their employees. If they try to sue the customer they're just going to dig the whole their in even deeper.

That is a shocking way to treat someone else's car.Hope your going to say sorry. But I doubt you will.
No, I was wrong about the video. Having watched it again on a bigger screen I'll admit it is worse than I first thought. For that and doubting its level of content I apologise. But I won't apologise for questioning how it was handled. Yes it's a guys pride and joy, but the clinic asked for time to assess and make any amends needed which I think I personally think is reasonable.

I also believe that Kev at the clinic would have handled it appropriately. One man has now lost his job. The impact of which he will suffer. But the damage to the reputation because of has actions is not just something he has to live with. I just hope Kev and the guys can go forward when all this goes away because whatever people's individual experiences they have done fantastic amount of work and made some great achievements in many things.

I just read that, "Last night Peter Vardy said they have offered Colin a full refund on the car, or a clutch replacement plus 12-month extension on his warranty." I know what option I'd take.

All these SC fanboys are more blinkered than SNP voters up here
