Already been noted on mlr. Got to laugh at the irony of comment #359 on there, the author of which lives in a location where you can buy a house for £3.50

They do a lot of custom manifolds and race car prep, mapping, servicing to name a few things.

I know Steve Simpson of Simtek has his racecar manifold built by them as well as a number of time attack and sprint series guys.

PS I don't work for them lol

I have a Mobius camera (a very flexible well-supported device), attached with a very compact tripod-dash-mount which is attached with VHB tape. Very rugged and durable thing.

Who was it that said Scoobynet was dying this thread has livened things up a bit round here and pulled a few lurkers out of their holes.

Well has to be said my earlier thoughts about it sounding a bit fishy have been proven wrong so I guess I deserve a slice of humble pie and an apology to you Ben for doubting your word.

Seems to me like the bumper and headlight although possible previously damaged was most probably dislodged by the driver crashing through several rather large potholes with what appears to be very little regard for the customers car.

I hope the Clinic can come through this as there are plenty of good guys working there and I would hate to see them suffer due to the actions of one person.

At least the lad had the decency to fall on his sword, it would be nice to see a few words from Kev or a representative to put the wider community at ease along with some assurances that measures will be taken to insure this sort of behaviour won't be repeated, it may go some way towards stopping some of the damage currently being done.

As a fan of SC I think silence is not an acceptable response, something needs to be said, sooner rather than later.

All in my humble opinion of course.

This is why i don't leave my car anywhere i wait with it. Luckily my mechanic lets me work on my car with him, and when my car goes for mot i say with it. And the mot guy is my old boss so i trust him to a degree. lol

My opinion exactly. As this went so widely public, I would like to hear some statement. I had only good experience with SC and Kev and would gladly come back but it now depends on his reaction.

Go back to SC mate Pat is second to none when it comes to mapping and I'm pretty sure after all this it's probably going to be the safest place to take your car.

As for other tuners in and around Nottinghamshire I have used Carnetics in melton for geometry and they did a good job.

If you want really excellent mechanical work carried out, I can highly recommend Grinspeed at Leyland, near Preston http://www.grinspeed.co.uk/ Stevie (the boss) and his colleague both still work as mechanics on the WRC circuit - and it shows when you watch them work. Their professionalism is second to none and while not Impreza specific, have a great knowledge of our cars. The downside is that you will be expected to brew up on a regular basis

best jokes I've read all day fellas, must have taken you a while those gems...

To the more serious point at hand...

Fair play I was wrong and it doesn't look good at all for SC.
I stand by what I said though as that's my experience. I feel for Kev as some of his team have massively let him down which is out of his hands.

Do we all really believe things like this don't happen at many a garage though?Does this mean they no longer do a good job? I don't believe so but agreed I'd feel much more inclined to stick around and watch what was being done.

Sad day for all car lovers.
