Aftermarket defi tacho install advise
Ok so I'm finally getting round to fitting this, it's the defi bf advanced range and I need abit of advise...
Basically there are only 2 wires that come off the controller unit for the tacho gauge....
1 ... Speed signal
2... Tachometer signal
I'm just wondering where I take these from as I can find nothing online I mean do I take from directly behind the main cluster or else where...
Helps pls peeps

Ok so should be able to pick up from behind instrument cluster thanks, now I just need to no which colour wires to tap into as at the moment I really have got no clue
Nothing wrong with the current tachometer just wanted somthing alittle higher and with peak wearing functions as for some reason they left it of my Motorsport version blob spec c

If you remove the instruments and use the printed circuit board to help, you'll be able to trace which pins the speed wire and the tach wire go to, then find the colours at the plugs.
TBH, it's almost always a waste of time asking for wire colours on here as what you FIND isn't always what they SAY you will find. Wiring looms are a law unto themselves, they often used whatever colour they had and it can change from year to year despite being same model.
Tracing back is the only sure-fire method. Removing the clocks is ten minutes.

Ok got this sorted just thought I'd update incase anyone needs for future reference
I managed to get a Jdm newage wiring diagram and figure it out with abit of help.. Anyways it turned out to be the plug in the back of the dash cluster closest to the driver side door...
speed signal = green with yellow line
Tacho signal = orange with white line
Finished artical
Not ideally where I wanted it located but the wire provided wasn't long enough so
Had to locate closer to the main defi pod :/

Cheers banny I got tired of waiting and just fitted it, I thought it was going to be hassle trying to find a extended lead but as alcazar pointed out u can get them on eBay :/
What your suggesting is where I originally wanted it locating but as said couldnt get the lead soon enough so just fitted it where it's at now, going to get all the dash flocked so will move it when I do that next

You'll be taking the instruments out anyway.
