Hi all,

A friend has just had the bad news that the gearbox in his Fiesta is toast! He has asked if i know where he might get a second hand box or a recon one local but the couple of scrap dealers I know have not been any help.

I live in Aberdare, any suggestions welcome!

There is a place in Llantarnam but the name escapes me. There are a number of places down Wentloog, Lamby Way and near the old East Moors steel works. Bill Way is always good value.

Cwmbran gearbox repairs in llantarnum I use if you take the car he will take what's needed out not whole box very good price too just done bugeye 400 vxr astra 600

What year is the fiesta I'm going to scrap one after the new year engine gear box are perfect low mileage

 

Hi mate, sorry for the late reply, its ben a busy few days!

It is an 06 1.4 petrol, I am not sure where my mate is with sorting this now though but I can let him know you may have one if it is a suitable fit.

Hi bossuk, I spoke to my mate and he had already put the car in with South Wales Transmissions, set him back £460!
