Default Bov fitting issue

I don't need to be told to not fit a bov. However I do want to try it, if I don't like it I'll go back to my recirc.

I have recently bought a bov off someone on here, I have asked the person if they had any problems and they said no. I seem to be having fitting issues, it's catching on the inlet manifold. So it won't bolt onto the intercooler.

I've even had a friend take a look at it who is quite handy when it comes to cars. The only thing he suggested was perhaps it came off an STI ? Maybe because the STI intercooler is bigger it might sit higher so it doesn't catch on the inlet manifold ?

Any advice would be great, I would get pictures however my car is going back to the garage for afew says today so will have to get pictures when I get it back.

Loosen the intercooler bolts and the rubber pipe into it. There is some movement. Fit the dv and then tighten them back up.

I already did this, the bov will attach, when putting the intercooler back in place though, it won't go in place because the bov is hitting the inlet manifold

Is it a new age or classic ? You can get an extension pipe to avoid this issue. I have the pipe and DV for mine that I have removed as I went back to a standard Recirc if its of any use to you ?

Lol, my thoughts exactly.

It's a newage. I've seen different type of flanges that have some sort of lip at the bottom of the flange to help make it point up abit more ? Don't know if I want my bov on a extension pipe bouncing round ?

Thanks

My thought was the same but they are supplied with a specific clamp to stop that from happening. It holds it but does not compress the pipe in anyway.

Don't suppose you know the name of this extension kit ? Or a weblink where I can look into one ?

Thanks
