Do a search or check back a couple of days, mines shot too.
Had a Toyota no probs for years, first sign of sunshine and the Scoob gives up even though its been used through the winter to stop the bloody seals deteriorating!

Most probably not covered by warranty, it goes in next week so I'll let you know.

Its probably low on gas, which means the system shuts itself off automaticaly.

Just had to have mine topped up for the same reason.

If the car is a UK one still under warranty it should be covered. The manual says that A/C should be operated for "a few minutes a month in the off season" to circulate the oil (?)" so as long as that has been done it should be covered. I had a new battery on warranty last month after 32 months - and was expecting to pay.... but it was covered.

Mine's packed in as well although it seems to have only done so since I got it back from having a piston replaced. Very annoying.
The dealer suggested that I could take it in tomorrow and leave it to be looked at. Didn't know whether recent engine work would have lost coolant gases but suggested that I should have switched it on every month or so, and maybe this is why its not working. I can't face another s***e loan car and having to pay £10 to Churchill to transfer to a different registration and possible not have it fixed or have a big bill.

I've said this before but £1500 fro the air con and it only works for 2 years - very poor. I don't buy this argument about using it one a month or whatever, why should I? I figure if it stops working and its still in warranty, the dealer should fix it at their expense. End of story.

Sorry but a bit p*****d off with dealers just now.

D.
