Default Newbie who just put a deposit on a hawkeye spec c

Hey all, been a Subaru fan since the McRae era but have only just taken the plunge to buy one!

Put down a deposit on an 06 hawkeye spec c and can't wait to take delivery of it!

Does anyone have any advice for a first time scooby owner? Looking forward to seeing some of your out on the road!

That is good advice, I will definitely (try) to take it easy while I get used to it! Been a long time since I drove a scooby on the road. Thanks, haha it's not! Not quite as unique as yours! Yours looks really good!

Welcome and a great choice If you need a nice new H&S exhaust for your twin scroll, I have one going in the for sale section (with sports cat)

Of course they do, it just depends on how sideways you want to be

Enjoy your new car

It's not the one from Clive's performance. I did look at that one but something just felt dodgy about them then I searched them on here and am very glad I passed! I went for the one on Torque GT because I heard good things, looks like a few people on here agree

Have it checked over professionally before parting with your final payment when the car is ready to pick up! They advertise there stock as "high grade fresh imports" I know of a guy that found out after the fact that the car he purchased from them had been accident repaired. They are buying direct from their dealer contacts for their stock cars and not throught the auctions so there is no auction sheets to decide the cars condition etc on.

He never checked the car over properly and it had a few mechanical issues also that would not have made it through a MOT and there was lots of stone chips scuffs etc on the bodywork! Caveat Emptor

Thanks for the advice, I was debating whether to pay £99 to get the RAC to do a vehicle inspection or just take it for a service when I get it home just for someone elses opinion, sounds like maybe you think the RAC option would be better?

Yes, have it inspected first by the RAC/AA unless you know someone who is qualified to do an inspection for you. Don't trust anyone when buying second hand cars especially when there coming from Japan does not matter how good they may seem! And with the amount of cash your forking out on this one its a no brainier really! Better to cover all angles!

Yeah that is a good point, what's the harm! Will get that sorted before I pick it up. Even for the cheaper £99 the RAC seem to check fair amount

£99 well spent mate. It's amazing the prices of these now, they've gone up so much and command a premium as it seems everyone is on the Twin-Scroll band wagon. You'll love the car.
