afterburner advice asap urgent
I am ordering an exhaust for my WR1 tomorrow morning
I have decided I want an afterburner fully decated non resonated with a 3" bore
Now I have a question re the back box, what is the difference between an afterburner vortex and the afterburner raptor
also should I go for a straight or angled back box
ASAP guys lol - cant wait to order lol

ok so I have decided angled
but do in terms of it being louder - how much louder is the raptor?
also does this exhaust pop and bang when giving it the beans?

not heard the raptor in person but ive read on scoobyworld website that the raptor has a smaller box enhancing the deep tone, the vortex is loud enough trust me, it can be quite droning on long journeys especially with a de cat, and I got the odd pop out of it when taking my foot off the gas

As I said in my pm, I dont really get this.
You've said you want an afterburner but want US to choose which one, WHY?
Theres loads of exhaust systems out there for imprezas, and I mean LOADS so why dont you tell people what you want noise wise etc.
I dont see the point in buying a mega loud exhaust then fitting the bung to make it quieter, just buy a decent system in the 1st place.
Hayward Scott, Cobra, Scoobyworld etc all make decent sounding systems without getting an ASBO or unfriending your neighbours.

right thats it
ive heard the vortex in person and i like it- im going with that at 4". I want a nice grunty loud exhaust and tbh went with raptor coz i thought itl be better bang for buck but thats it, ive changed my mind like 6xs today, im going for afterburner vortex 4" - thanks all
worse comes to worse i can always px it or sell it in couple of months - its not the end of the world if its 2 loud, as i will only need to swap the back box rather than whole system

I have an afterburner vortex angled silencer, combined with de-resonated centre section. Only of the 2.5" variety though. It's actually not as loud as you might think...not from inside the car anyway. But sounds awesome on WOT. On the motorway I don't find it boomy at all. It's actually quite civilized compared to some other systems I've heard. But then it all depends on your own perception of a noisy exhaust........
