Default Engineers Report - Subaru Specialist in the NW?

Evening folks,

Currently looking at buying privately and I'm keen on getting an independent engineers report done prior to handing over some cash.

I'm aware of what the likes of the AA and the RAC offer but I'm wondering if there are any Subaru specialists out there that could do this for me who have a good reputation / come recommended. I've got a fairly local Subaru specialist so I'll probably give them a call to tomorrow to see what they say.

Cheers

When I bought my classic import I went direct to Dekra, they are the people who do the AA/RAC inspections. Done a good job (car is still spot on after 5 years of my ownership) I think it was around 200 notes.......

I guess if you paying for the inspection pretty much any mechanic would do it for you?

I always found the RAC ones to be excellent. I bought a Corrado VR6 few years back and the inspection lasted two and half hours. He literally went over it like a forensic team.

Considering there are plenty of 'Subaru Specialists' all over the UK now i would recommend getting in touch to a local one wherever you see a car.. Just check the traders section to give you an idea and then whichever car you decide to go for i'm sure most owners would be happy to meet at said specialists to check the car out for / with you...
