Hi all I'm currently in the middle of building a classic turbo 2000 and need to put a new engine in it but just confused if I put standard turbo etc. in and build it standard do I need to remap it or is it only if I modify? Thank you
Rhys, if you want to you can go to your user cp near top left
and there is a ignore list in there. Just put his name in click 'okay' and his
posts on your threads will be wiped/blank.
It will make your thread a little easier to follow as this idiot is clogging
it up somewhat.
opensource mapping is a way of uploading custom settings to the standard ECU - but it only works on the newer cars 2001/bugeye upwards. You can then change timing/boost/fuel maps to suit your needs but there would be quite a bit of work involved in doing it.
If your new to it all then it might be easier to get a 99/2000 ECU/engine setup and get an ECUtek tuner to map it for you.
