Default Tyre sizes for 18" 8 3/4 xxr 527

Just after abit of advice to what tyres size either 225/40/18 or 225/35/18 people run and a good choice of tyre (not tracked) all weathers. Cheers

225's will be stretched 245 or 255 will be the tyre that fits correctly.

Any particular make and model of tyre to suit if I go 245/40/18 route

Goodyear is a great all rounder, Bridgestone Potenza are another good grip tyre. Failing that get what you think will grip the best.

I have the XXR 530s in that size and I use 245/40/18s, might go up to 255 next depending on cost.

Did u have to roll the arches for them to fit. Spoke to a few people and some run 225 and others 245, confused

I have 225 x 40, the stretch is hardly noticeable

I had to roll my arches and fit camber bolts to get the 225 tyres to fit my 8.75" XXrs let alone the 245 or 255's being mentioned!

225s for me all day long.

definitely 40 profile. Stay clear of the 35 profile, the rolling diameter will be wrong, the ride will be crap and you'll crack wheels. I did using 35s years back!

Forgot to mention, my rears are rolled 245 would have never gone in....

I've got a Forester so wheel clearance isn't really an issue

I've lowered it 40mm and is fine with 225 winters, but I will have to at least roll the rear arches when the 245 summers go back on.

225/40/18 Yoko Parada Spec 2s. Rear arches rolled, camber bolts all round.

I have the Falkens as the were on the wheels when I got them. Not sure if they would be my first choice.
