Hawkeye rad leak
Hi guys,
Had my anti freeze done last week, now noticed a leak.
Car was given back to mechanic, who now says it's leaking!!!
Question is? Is this common on these cars??
As it had a new rad beginning of this year, along with a heat sheild.

Alcazar, thanks for the input.
He did a compression test, and said it's coming from Inbetween the two fans.
I saw water at the bottom of the rad, but today noticed the padding on the bonnet seems damp at the front.
Also noticed a drop of water at the top of the rad!
I asked for a flush and refill of the system, he said he drained the water from the drain plug at the bottom of the rad??
And refilled it.
But even I find it a bit suspect that he was the last one to work on it, now it's leaking!!
His reply was that it can go at any time!!
I only used him as a lot of people from my work use him, you can leave your car at the start of your shift, and usually pick it up when you finish.
He's not a subaru technician, but surly any technician should be able to Change coolant with out causing extra problems??!!

Start engine, let it get hot, then, with bonnet open, get someone to rev to 2000rpm and you look for signs of the leak.
After doing work on my coolant system, mine leaked from the top hose...a pinhole and it sprayed quite far, but only when the system was pressurised.
When I removed said top hose, it was all split INSIDE as if someone had taken a razor blade to it. Only one had pinholed, but it was a matter of time.....
