I have been using UPS for around 5 years now via a local accumulator. Very few problems with their service.

I use royal mail, parcel2go, and collect+. Love receiving parcels from UPS or DPD, text updates and map tracking online

I've used Royal Mail/Parcelforce with no issues whatsoever but they are expensive. DPD offer good service with their text updates (why don't all companies do this?!).

I have used Paisley Freight a couple of time for Wheels and suspension... Very good and good price.

Not used them for smaller parcels yet.

Completely agree, they are the cheapest for good reason. Avoid at all costs.

For smaller items I find Collect Plus really useful as I can drop/collect parcels at the local shop which is open until 10pm seven days a week. Only ever had one problem (which was due to the seller anyway) and the customer service people were very helpful.

Another vote for parcel force here, might cost a tiny bit more but they don't mess around either.

To be fair, Im not a big fan of paisley freight either, they broke/dented a well packaged boot lid I sold. If you read the fine print it is also not covered by insurance either.

I've never had a problem with citylink, TNT or hermes. Yodel i've had loads of problems with loosing parcels not turning up to collect item for days. But saying that i've always been paid out if a parcel has gone missing.

Under 2 kilos I use Royal Mail recorded
2- 5 kilos I use collect plus 24 hour (avoid the cheaper option that is really designed for non urgent returns)
5 - 30 Kilos Parcel force 11.99 anywhere in the UK

Oh DHL are rubbish for anything aboard. I don't mind paying import duty, but asking me to pay it 6 months later is not on.

Interlink/DPD are good, but I think they do commercial.

As above RMSD is also a good service for up to 2kg. Above that jumps to around £35 I think.

Maybe you need to do a bit more shopping mate, UPS 1 to 2 days anywhere in the UK up to 30K for the princely sum of £7.20 inc VAT.
You might even get it cheaper if you look hard enough

Another vote for MyHermes here. Used them regularly, they are a bit slow but I have not had any issues and my local shop is a registered drop off point. Therefore very cheap and very convenient.

UPS Access point (drop off at your local corner shop) is great next day service and cheap, organised through Parcels 2 Go.

I am beginning to avoid Yodel & Hermes, as they use a lot of Jo public in cars/rough old vans. They often imply a delivery was attempted which clearly wasn't and leave valuable items in daft places.

I had to do my own detective work to find a delivered parcel. It was in another street across town with a similar name.

UPS , DPD and Royal mail seem to be the best choice.

Yodel & Hermes etc seems a bit more of a risk I was going to use Hermes before this thread.

found out today that UPS have a access point at my local corner shop it was £8 not £62.10
