Default Version 6 STi type R

Right, here's a question in a similar vein to one further down the page. How does something like a V6 Type R fair as a daily driver? I've got a lightly modified (chassis mods) GB270 at the moment which is fine as a daily but the classic shape was what i always wanted in an Impreza really and TorqueGT currently have one listed that's caught my eye.

Depends on the type of mileage you do, as a type r is a not a good motorway proposition as it revs quite high due to the short ratio box. Its a blinding driving experience though and worlds away from the luxo barge that is the GB270

Agree with Tidgy. My WRX RA is great for weekend fun but is a bit to raw for daily use and it would dull the effect if used daily.

But it is for sale if your interested

Yeah as much as I'd love to run 2 cars, I can't justify the money at the moment.

I personally could not use a classic everyday(owned classics & newages), there to old now and I find the ride quite harsh(even standard), the gearing short so no good for motorway, and the interior creak and rattle more then any car I have ever been in. Great if you want a weekend car that can put a smile on your face, but for me, I could not live with one on a daily basis(but some on here do drive them everyday)!!!

My type r would drive me round the bend if driven daily. Too harsh, too much road noise, too short gearing etc etc. All of which could be sorted but then there is no point in buying one in the first place.
