Default fabricated products..

I've been working closely with a fabrication shop lately,. and it got me wondering if there is any call for U.k fabricated parts
We just do billet work, so no welding/bending.
These guys are very good at what they do, but are a bit light on work... So I was looking to put some work their way if there was a market for it?

A couple of people have asked us recently for strut braces and diff guards , but what else is there? would the general public rather pay a bit extra for quality U.k made products rather that the stuff on eBay. I have just had a quick look and see you can pick up strut braces for £35 ..

If so I was going to get hold of a classic and leave it with them to take some measurements

thoughts please

I could do with a newage battery cover that covers the terminals as mine are getting wet due to the chargespeed bonnet I have with the vents in it

engine dress up products... things like fuse box covers, caps for all bottles so things like brake fluid cap etc etc...so instead of plastic which some nice caps and covers I would want them all

some of these are available for odd cars but not things like WRX hatch

H-braces, diff lockers, rear diff carriers and gear box cradles, front sub-frames, harness bars, bolt in cages, some of the guys on here and 22b spend a small fortune on that kind of stuff.

How about an alternative to the beatrush rear diff brace, I fitted one a few days ago, and I'd imagine they would be simple enough to fabricate.

Seen as you already do the arb's, how about stout mounts for the rear. The diff brace would be a good idea too.

Well a good tubular subframe is around £1500-1800 but it's more than welding & bending metal . Harness bars , battery relocation trays, swirl pot & fuel cell enclosures all wouldn't require to much effort in the R&D .diff guards , disk cooling back plates , floor braces , fabricated parcel shelf & rear floor covers all sound good

Regards mic

A lot of suggestions are already made elsewhere by other companies and you would have to compete price wise which I am sure is hard when its china made stuff.

Anodised top mount brackets?

Things like tubular subframes are great but most can't afford them and they are all welded tube right?

Again suspension arms (lateral links, trailing arms, wishbones) all awesome but would undoubtedly be very expensive and limited market due to cost.

Could they do cills and rear quarter panels?

They seem to be damned difficult to find, at least for classics.

I like the manifold idea. Could do an off the shelf reverse inlet kit.

Door sill (sp ) protectors?

Diff guard would be popular I reckon. Wish I got a Prodrive one when they were available.

Apologies for not being a CDF trainspotter - it's not apparent from their online shop that they do- I couldn't find one, although there is a **** load of tubular sub frames, suspension arms etc already on there if you really want to be picky...
