Auto paint suppliers, Google for your nearest supplier.
Never used halfords stuff so don't know what it's like, used some I got from auto paints in Brighton and it was good, colour match for pearlescent black was spot on, and the cans come with a fan nozzle which helps get a better finish than a standard aerosol nozzle.

You'll be looking at around £20 a can of spray paint from a paint supplier... You'll need Lacquer aswell....

£20 a can could get dear! I. Always got lacquer hanging around somewhere. I refurbed my wheels and they came out well.

I don't know how bodyshops operate but would the guy not be like "I'll have to get the paint in" and then it'll work out more expensive than doing it myself...

I've had a Blobeye foglamp cover painted by a sprayshop for 20quid all in, and a pair of wing mirror covers for an Ibiza for 25.

They don't "get it in". They mix it up from component colours.

Fantastic! Like I said I'm clueless on how they operate. I know a spray shop so might pop up when I've got my new fog covers!

You mean £20 for top coat and lacquer surely.

As said, if your local paint shop can do it for around £20 that's the way to go.
refurbing wheels is one thing but to get a decent finish on body parts is a bit harder.
Unless it is something you want to have a crack at doing, but you will need a half decent lacquer, like u-pol or similar, that also has a fan nozzle, and time and patience to get a good result.

Preparation is also key, if you are spraying on to bare plastic, you will probably need an adhesion promoter, followed by a decent quality primer, again u-pol high build primer is pretty good. If the parts are already painted you my get away with just sanding them with a 1200 grit wet and dry if the base colour is similar to the colour you intend spraying them.

When the surface has been sanded smooth with the above wet and dry (if priming wait til following day) wipe with alcohol panel wipes and then spray your top coat. Build up in thin coats, leaving about 20 mins between coats, until you have even coverage. Leave for a further day.
Then lacquer. Your first coat needs to be a very fine mist coat, that looks like overspray. Leave for ten to fifteen minutes, until this coat has gone tacky.
Then go over it with a thicker glossy coat, taking care not to get any runs. Repeat with another three thicker glossy coats, leaving half hour between each coat.

Leave for about a month, then sand with the fine wet and dry and go over with a cutting compound if you have got any runs or orange peel in your original paint finish, but don't use any products on the paint before a month as the paint will need time to harden and cure.

So, if you are painting bare plastic it'll cost you about £50 for adhesion promoter, primer, top coat, lacquer, wet and dry, and alcohol wipes.
Just something to bare in mind when getting a quote from a paint sprayer.
