Default Trackday Legal Newage Exhaust...?

Right then,

I'm booked in to do Oulton Park on November 4th, I have a Widetrack STI with PPP, and a Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust. I know Ive no chance of passing noise testing with the current set up.

Now I was getting stressed about getting sent away from the track day before it had started. I managed to borrow a soundtester/decibel-meter from my old man's work. Got him to stand behind the car 0.5m away at 45deg, held it at 3/4 revs and got approx 100db.

I then fitted the silencing bung, repeated the test, and got......................100db

Anyone recommend a decent trackday friendly system for not a lot of cash? As I'm immature and would still like to run the Nur Spec on the road.
My other option is the get a silencer box made up at a custom exhausts place with a downturned tip, and mount it AFTER my backbox, along the rear bumper at 90deg to the normal exhaust direction.

Like so:

Or even a plug in silencer, like this:

Help!

Hmm I dunno now. I've never tried a different exhaust I bought with the Nur Spec on it and the prodrive exhaust in the boot and sold that on. I'm worried as I don't want to get sent home but I don't want to buy a new exhaust if I don't need to!

its only a static test anyway, could you not get a db reader or even the app on ya phone to give you a gestimate of what your over by?tbh the right bung (muffler)may work as long as its the same size bore as the exhaust.

That's what I did. I have a bung with an approx 1.5" hole in it (pretty restrictive) and it's still over. There's also driveby tests.

Yep I tried that with the sound tester. Held it at 3000rpm, still was 100db. Plus theres the driveby sound meters on track.

Try getting a tail pipe and pointing at the floor like a deisel.the sweedish have done this for a long time now.but keep it the same bore as the exhaust for restriction purposes.oulton was 105 when we went and they wernt to fussy if just over the db.that was with javelin

Just try and buy a prodrive or standard back box? unless your running over 400ish bhp you don't need it to be a 3" pipe i think?
when I go on a track day I just pop on my prodrive exhaust instead of my Afterburner one.

Looks like I was wrong and it's 105 standing and 95 driveby. Reckon I'll manage it with the bung?

Problem with getting hold of a standard backbox is that it won't mate up to my centre section!
