Strange EMU light.....
Little bit of a strange one.
Picked car up last friday and all is good until the other night where the engine management light came on and then went out, and kept repeating this but not in an uniformed manner it was just random. stayed on for no more than a couple seconds and then went again.
So thought no worries, get the code reader plug it in see which sensor it is and replace...... not a single code was stored....
Then then today im driving and i found if i kept my foot at a certain postion on the throttle it would stay on a little longer, but even trying to get the light to stay on while i had the reader plugged in proved to be unsuccessful.
So no stored codes, no pending codes no historic codes....
What the bloody hell is it can anyone point me in the right direction?
Car drives bob even with the light acting like a strobe.... doesnt happen all the time either.

I know with certain maps (I believe mainly open source maps i.e racerom) it can be programmed to flash when engine knock is present... may be worth taking it easy until you confirm what it is...

Update, rang andy carr this morning to have a chat with him about the map he has put on and just waiting on a call back now.
Sam i think you may be right on this one as your the second person to say this about the knock detection.
