Question

I bought my MY99 4 dr a couple of months ago - love it to bits, especially after last months trip to PS (Unichip + Bumpsteer)!

Main problem (in addition to the much-discussed 'surge' issue which hasn't been resolved by fitting the Unichip) is a permanently damp boot - with quite an amount of water collecting beneath the spare wheel.

I can't seem to trace the ingress point - can anyone shed some light on this situation?

My best bet would be: rear light clusters...

All water passes by them, and if the seal is not 100 %, hey, instant aquarium.

Dry it out, dust the boot down with talc, then take a hose to the outside of car. Talc will light the way to the leak.

Wink

If you look at the underneath of the bootlid (especialy when the weathers cold) this seems to hold condensation which then drips into the boot.
