I've been thinking about selling my impreza and buying another one, main reason is i treat my impreza to well, it spends most of its life in the garage, and doesn't come out in winter, i barely want to drive it for fear of getting damaged, which makes my ownership of the car pointless

I really fance a 2012 WRX STI Saloon, but way out of my price range, last one saw sold for £22.000, how long do people think they will take to come under 9k mark?

Hawkeye STi's have just gone around the £10k mark for a standard-ish example with say 50k-60k, and they are usually 7-8 years old, so maybe your looking at 2020 when you can pick up a 2012 Subaru WRX STi for about £10k

Nice car tho . I don't really no much about the spic on a Subaru like that as its well out off my price range . Even 9k then u not you need to put your own touch on it , what 10k with out putting much mods on it as got to be alot of cash to up one of them . So call it 12k . Dam . Good luck hope u get one . Asks wonger lol

Anyway the new 2020 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Version 15 coupe will be out then with its new 500bhp electric engine and paddle shift gearbox and auto pilot option so the car drives it self!!

Uk sales were very low on 2012 so not many around
If I could find a cat D I would snap it up but I'm not paying silly money for 1 like yourself
I suspect the availability is why prices are strong

I don't get all this hardly driving your impreza or only in certain weather etc. It was built to be driven so start enjoying it

But when you've spent hours, days and much cash modding and detailing your pride and joy you tend to get a bit edgy when it comes under attack. When some silly old bat clouts it with her shopping trolley and says "Good job it's only an old car" a colourful response is certain. Best keep it away from Waitrose then!

What would make you drive the STI Saloon any more the your current Scooby?

A very good point, but I've had this car for about 5 years now hoping won't be so attached to the next one. But this is for future, I'm thinking of getting either Hawkeye wrx and modifying it, but using it as daily car not as second car. Or classic sti or type r that's not mint and use it as daily driver

Just meant few engine mods to improve performance on Hawkeye. Not bothered about fuel cost, get esl twin map one for eco and one for performance. Or just drive as is doesn't matter

At cost, got rear arch on one side to do this winter, the black on rear pillars needs respraying, cambelt due, get rocker gasket done at same time. want to convert rear to 2 pots and remapped. And after spending even more money i will most likely put it in storage for the rest of my life

Subaru have probably got wise in 2020 and gave it a 1 year warranty and the small print stating that you cant drive the car otherwise the warranty will be void as your putting wear and tear on the pistons!!

^^^^ To be fair its not much difference from the warranty you get in 2014 for a new STi
