Exclamation Newbie URGENT HELP NEEDED- Hoses

Morning guys

Only been on the forum a couple of months

Bought a 2003 Sti PPP recently, took it to trax for its first outing on track at the weekend, ran great

Been pottling around and got to work this morning and the top rad hose has sprung a tiny pin hole leak (had a bit of steam coming from under the bonnet in traffic and **** myself thinking the rad had gone)

but looks to be just the top rad hose, going to nurse it home tonight after i have patched it up but going castle combe for forge action day this weekend

SO...need the following answered
-Best site to get some silicone coolant hoses delivered FAST
-Coolant i should use when i replace them
-What mix of coolant to water i should use?

Thanks a million in advance everyone i am on the laptop at work and can get these ordered this morning in time to fit friday night but dont know the best place to buy from??

I used a company called Turborevs. They were cheaper than anyone else and the hoses were decent. You should be able to get next day delivery.
Coolant wise it's a good idea to go with what's already in your engine. As different ones have different additives. The colour normally denotes the type of coolant.

cheers Maz

already got some hoses on order from Amber Performance in dunstable in the end, very helpful staff, they have them on the shelf and should have one with me by tomorrow

no idea what coolant i have in there at the moment, but im gonna have to do a coolant flush to fit the hoses, might aswell fit the pair while im at it for peace of mind, dont want the lower coolant going while im out on track

Do i just use the usual subaru coolant or any other brands i should consider?

Plus never done a coolant flush/top on a scoob before, any write ups or youtube vids around??

Generally any of the modern OAT (red) types should suffice.

Any of them will be fine. Some are 3 year life and some are 5. Personally I'd change after three years regardless, on that basis the 5 year ones should be the better option. Price wise they're much of a muchness so just go for one of the Comma ones.
