I use Green cotton panel filter in my WRX. You will need oil as well. There are so many brands that are a good standard too.

there's loads of threads on this subject with lots of pros/cons and suggestions, use the search the function to find them

I've used both a standard STI panel, cosworth panel and a knN panel, all performed fine. I've used an ITG panel filter before on a classic and it destroyed the MAF. Avoid anything thats heavily oiled.

the Cosworth panel is un oiled as is the sti, the cosworth filter is not a lifetime one though.

You'll be fine on a oem one just change it more often which isn't a problem as they're cheap from a motor factors. If you want an aftermarket one I use green panel filter which works well but needs cleaning and a light re oil. Cheers Marc

DO-LUCK was tested by Banzai or Jap Performance and proved to be the best flowing panel filter for the Impreza. Rolling road results speak for themselves.
