Blitz nur spec r question
Does anyone know if a Nur Spec R system off a Classic will fit a Blobeye?
Looking at Blitz website it looks like it does but would like some confirmation.

They will but some exhaust systems with stick out a bit further on a classic if it's from a newer car, you will need to modify the hangar on the back box.
So it might sit a bit under the rear bumper if it's from a classic but you could fit a spacer on the exhaust were it joins the centre section.

ive just bought one from a classic to fit a bug and was told its one hanger needs changing- false! you need to cut about 2-3" out of the centre section and move the hanger and then move on of the backbox hangers. lucky i can tig weld, but its straight forward. so the answer is it will fit but needs a little modding

Yes it will I have a classic 3" Nurspec R system from downpipe back on my bugeye wagon and the only mod needed is the removal of a hanger on the back box. it sits in perfect location without any issues.

So what I have gathered from the above is that the Nur Spec R system will fit, although it may need some modifications to the centre pipe.
The back box should be a straight forward enough fit.
So if I was to fit a Nur Spec 'S' back box from a classic then it should be straight forward as it would connect straight to the centre section currently on the car?

the only mod is cutting off one of the rear hangers that isnt used.

depending on costs then this may be the better option for me, but need to be sure that it will fit straight forward enough as last thing I want is to buy it and it doesn't without a fair few modifications.
Thanks for your help everyone.

Only mod on mine mate is the removal of a rear hanger on the rear box.
I have a 3" straight through system from the classic is a de-resonated center section.
from what I know if you have a resonator in the center section you may need to just knock a section in by about an inch yo clear the prop center bearing. this does not effect the performance of the exhaust.
or like me just use a de-resonated center section and its a straight fit.
Just make sure you fit a classic downpipe!

Then I would need to knock the centre section a little and remove a bracket?
