70's & 80's rally fans

My brother emailed it to me so he deserves the credit.
He's subaruless at the moment but still a rally nut
Infact he's the one who took me to see the group b cars in the eighties.
My personal fave was tony pond driving the metro 6R4, what a pocket rocket that was.
Happy days !

I was also lucky enough to see them in the 80s too and still have faint memories of the Lancia Stratos blasting through the Forrest Of Dean in the 70s, I think anyone old enough to remember seeing them would count it as probably the best years of rallying. For me it's Juha in the 205 T16

The t16 was unbeatable, I think the 6r4 had no chance but we all flew the union jacks hoping tony pond could bring it home 1st... Lol
Fond memories of gwyndaf Evans, Wilson and the mcrae's too.
Wrc all seems a little uninspiring these days.

I have to agree with you there, not a fan of the repeated stages at all but I can understand the reasons why the FIA have gone down this route but unfortunately the format is here to stay
