I would from past experience keep them both, genome is nice but after a while the sound isn't so appealing in my opinion and I find the sound from a tsl group N just about perfect. But if you sell the genome at some point you will want another!

What he said minus the bit about wanting another. Found it to become to raspy where the grp n will have a nice deep rumble. Fit the full system and swap and change the back box as and when you get bored

Ah nice, I emember you were looking for one a while back, so importing is probably the better option as there is more variety.

I know this has been repeatdly asked but how much is costing to import the car with all of the taxes, etc so that it is registered on UK roads? You don't have to tell me how much the car cost if you don't want to Also if I was going to import a car from Japan do you usually have to wait months on end for it to arrive?

EDIT: Is this it? http://jm-imports.co.uk/index.php/20...-speed-manual/

Regards,

Subaru Collector 555.

Found this email from jurgen
Thank you for your inquiry in to importing a JDM car with JM-Imports to the UK.

When we import a car to the UK we take care of every aspect of the Import process, from the selection of the car in Japan to the registration of the car in the UK and everything in between.

Our set price for this service is £750 for a Car over 10 years old - or £1000 for a car under 10 years old that requires IVA prep-work and testing.

This is our set fee, the rest of the costs are associated with the import process, such as the following below.

Japan Side Costs –

(Typically these costs are SET, they do not change regardless of the value of the car)

Costs for the above are 200,000 JPY which varied in GBP depending upon the exchange rate.

The current exchange rate as of bank transfer not live rate is 165JPY to £1 GBP.

= £1215 FIXED Japan costs

Our agent costs/fees associated in Japan

Auction Fees or Dealer fees

De-reg customs Charges in Japan to cancel plates

Transport to Docks from auction our dealers.

Shipping to the UK via Hoegh Autoliners

Marine Insurance

*( £1215 this fee can increase pending location of car in Japan)

The UK side costs are also fixed to a certain extent.

UK Port Charges = £125

Transport from Docks to Jm Garage = £75

MOT costs = £60

UK fog light Fitted = £60

Mph Speedo Conversion = £150

DVLA Reg costs = £260

UK plates = £30

Fuel = £50

Total UK FIXED costs = £805

This means ANY car imported from Japan has £1215 + £805 = £2025 FIXED COSTS

(Excluding the car price)
