I use Hardrace's kit in my classic, engine mounts, gearbox mount and pitch mount, been running them for around a year and very happy with them, a big improvement generally in how the car feels but very little in the way of additional noise/vibration, infact the only difference I've really noticed it that regard is a little more gearbox whine at low speeds in the cabin, but that's hardly a bad thing!

I dont think the hardarce stuff is that much stiffer than the standard rubber, hence the neglible increase in NVH but a good compromise for a daily driver.

Yea possibly, but it still gave a vast improvement over the standard items, unless your running a lot of power or tracking the car on a regular basis I can't see the need for anything stiffer, they do everything you want from uprated mounts but with little compromise. I'd assume the STi ones are also pretty road friendly?

if you have a decent spare gearbox mount for a 5 speed I would be interested in one

I found the hardrace gearbox mount to be a lot stiffer than std 6speed sti mount
