hi guys just been to Newmarket car show what a shocker the new sti road tax £860 for the year

No. That's the price for the 1st year only. It's built into the price of the car. Next year back to normal.

First year tax, Aston Martins, Bentley's, Ferrari's etc are £1000+ reason why I wont buy one!!!

I don't know why people don't gas convert them , price down tax bracket then

Are hatches not in the top bracket? I paid £500 on my Hawkeye a couple of months back..

It's worth it, in my opinion.

There are plenty of other cars out there that fall into this tax bracket that aren't worth it.

so at the moment a 2003 wrx and wrx sti us 285 pounds a year. is this fixed at the lower rate or after every year does another year get put in the higher band. Has the 1.6 and bellow/above rule for older cars been scrapped now?
