Default Modified Wrx price.

What do you guys think to the price of this modified Wrx.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1911563630...84.m1423.l2648

Looks a good car but does it warrant almost 9k?

If everything is as good as it sounds, Id say thats a reasonable price... forged 2.5's arent cheap.

And let's face it; you're not going to need to spend a penny on upgrading anything once you've brought it.

Does it come at that price with a tat extractor? if not, add that into the equation.

Some of the parts are ok but it's still a WRX? What the hell is left except the logbook name?

Hell of a lot of grunt for that price, if it's all as it says I would say a good price

Suspension for one i'd dump the wheels and the rest is styled by barry.

It's probably not sold because the first picture of it with the roof scoop looks chav. It's obviously had a lot spent on it and the engine is now bulletproof, judging by the ad the owner is clued up and used someone decent to map it. As it's in Plymouth i was surprised not to read engine tuners name in there somewhere.

out of curiosity, whats the standard spec of a 2.5 STI block/Engine? Are they forged as standard? and what sort of price would I be looking at?

Good engine spec, but straight away roof scoop, front and rear lights and those horrible wheels put me right off.

7k tops IMHO, and then I'd break it. That engine is probably good for a couple of years, but will need a refresh within 20k + if all 460 horses are used. It's not bullet proof, putting petrol in it is just the start of running that sort of car

Swap the lights back to standard, change the alloys and I'd drive that all day.

I'll add another tuppence worth for the doubters.

£9k buys a very tidy low milage Widetrack STI that will hold it's value much better than a modded WRX, you could even find a Spec C for that kind of money fit something like a billet SC38 and jobs a good un, treat it nice and hold onto it for a few years keeping the milage down and you'll always get decent money for it, where as that WRX value will only be going down and be a bit of a money pit running that sort of power, If I had £9k to spend on a Subaru it wouldn't be on that car for sure.
