Default Emission query

I had an mot today, at first the car failed due to emissions, they're a friendly bunch at the garage, and advised I go for a 10 mile spin on the motorway, then come back.

This time the car passed the emissions test, but I was wondering if its a good result or should I look at investigating further?

The results were:

Fast Idle
co 0.04%
hc 22ppm
lambda 1.02

natural idle
co 0.00%

Thanks

I don't know the answer but no one will unless you add what exhaust system you've got.

prodrive sports cat, scorpian center 2.5", Tsl back box, didnt think the exhaust itself would make much difference, as its not decatted yet.

The emission result sheet will show what the minimum/maximum permissable limits are for your car, this should answer your question.

It probably failed the first time as the engine/catalyst was not hot enough when they did the check.

Co is a 2.0 limit
hc is a 200 limit
lambda is a 1.03 limit so its a good reading really albeit i reckon you may have a slight exhaust leak as the lambdas getting towards the high side.
