Vf48 mapped today!!! Was hoping for more :(
Had my02 Sti mapped today buy duncan graham and it made 334/335 was hoping for abit more but the car drives great and pulls really hard!! Was a fun 70 mile (half a tank) drive home lol!!
Duncan said something was holding it back a lil you can see on the graph where the power just levels off!!
This wasn't the best run but you get the idea!

I know someone who changed from a Top mount to a front mount and ended up losing some BHP (think it was a cheap front mount though)
But yeah as jacob said, maybe injectors? The way it levels off, maybe they are at 100% duty?

with intercoolers it all depends on the fins per inch, obviously the more you have the better, also believe it or not the colour, some companies now produce a special black paint which helps remove heat. mishimoto use this and there are proven gains. im new to scoobies but dodgy lambda sensors can cause poor performance too

Sti injectors flow 360hp at least, unless they're faulty.the power made is about right maybe on the lower side but it happens in car tuning-320 -360 is what most vf series make on average

Injectors weren't at full duty as said above 550's should be sufficient!!
Headers were ported by a good friend that is very experienced so hope they would have been done well if they were ported badly would the torque not be badly effected??
Duncan did say my filter is slightly on the small side so might address that and see if that's improves things!

I made 333/300 on my v4 classic with a vf48, HDI front mount, fuel pressure reg, 2.5" H&S decat, harvey up-pipe.. standard headers.. and they wont be holding anything back at your power levels..
It drove amazingly well, I was also hoping for a little more, but it pulled really well and was smooth as you like. I still miss that car!
Looks like a good graph to me too

It will depend on if the headers were ported to match the up pipe or not, I made the same mistake when I was modding my old bug sti which also was running a VF48 at the time.

Isn't the VF48 off a 2.5 ?
Why would you bother when a VF 35 can make 340 bhp anyway ? Think mine ran 1.7 bar from memory....
dunx
P.S. Ecutek'd WRX makes same torque 1500 rpm lower ! AT 3000 RPM you are 100 FT.LB'S down, poor for a road car, IMHO.

That is so true what dunx said why bother with a vf 48 when the original turbo makes around 340 and maybe 350 if you're lucky, which is similar power to what a vf48 makes 320-350,over 350hp on vf series turbo is very rare.maybe the better turbo would of definitely been the td05 18g or 20 g
