A few weeks ago someone posted information about getting stickers etc done in vinyl. I need to get some done for my Karting team (www.sbeeracing.com). We are also trying to get some embroidered badges for our race suits. If anyone can help we would be very greatful.

We use a guy in Plymouth to do sign, vinyl stickers etc..very reasonably priced.

We also use a local (to us) embroidery shop that specialises in embroidering badges, caps tee shirts etc etc and will do minimal runs.

I'll dig out their details and forward onto you if thats any help. If their is a sign maker and vehicle sign maker near you they should be able to help as they would have computer grahics etc for vinyl signs/lettering that is used on vans and lorries.

The sort of thing we are after are about the same size as the SIDC car sticker and some thing for helmets and karts. I will see if we have any local embroidery shops who may help.

I own an embroidery company, so might be able to offer some advice. A selection of Motorsport logo's can prove very expensive to embroider because each logo has to go through a process known as 'digitizing' before it can be stitched out. There is a set-up fee ( known as the disk-fee ) for each new logo, so costs can soon mount up....especially if you have a lot of sponsors!
All my 'digitizing' is done in-house, so as a fellow scooby owner I might be able to bend the rules a little! Shop around and e-mail me your best quote.

We talked to Monogram at the Autosport show and they wanted about £75 for the initial set-up. Trouble is we only need 6 or so of each item and they said our logo may be difficult. If you want a look it is on the opening page of our website.

Does anyone know a company who can print me a pair of (cheap) stickers with the name of a fictitous alarm company? It seems to me that having alarm stickers would put the casual thief off, but actually naming the company who made your alarm would help the professional thief. Of course, the word 'Clifford' above the blinking red light on mine doesn't help, but I'm sure I can sort that out.

I too am interested in small batch runs for the company I work for.

Similar to Andy, I've spoken to United Images and Performance Clothing, who quoted £40 -£100 depending on "stitches" required.

For DIY stickers, use an inket printer, and print on glossy adhesive backed paper. You can cover it with film to make it more waterproof.

I did a load of stickers for my kart, worked quite well, but u need some patience.
