back box advise
hi guys,
i have the ppp on my wrx wagon but yesterday i was messing around on the rear end while the car was running and thought i could hear a leak from the exhaust, put my hand over the tail pipe and found a split seam on the back of the box
anyway my question is, can i fit a saloon prodrive backbox to my wagon or are they made individually for each car.
cheers.

cheers for the reply,
can you weld stainless then?
i thought its was a specialized job to get stainless welded costing more than a 2nd hand one.

I've got PPP on my Spec D. Anyone got any pictures? Bit worrying really. Very new PPP but even so.
You'd expect a Prodrive exhaust to take the heat / pressures etc.
Which seam?

cheers rb5,
if you had yours done at your local powerflow they would have the specilized equipment to weld stainless, my local is a joe spanner with a couple of oxy bottles,
im looking at changing it rather than getting it welded because i imagine the internals must of started to corrode if the seam has split,
cheers.

Yeah mine was the front at the entry to the backbox. It went along the seam. I don't think they do rot as they are stainless. They just seem to split but its only an outer skin.
