Hey everyone, just joined today. Left my deposit on my first subaru impreza wrx sti 2006 with the PPP running at 320bhp

Loved the car was perfect BUT I love loud cars & it has the prodrive exhaust but for me it's just too quite, can you make these louder or are they best not touched? I was thinking of changing the through pipe to un-silence it & have the awesome burble noise!

Hi Kieran,

You can change the exhaust for a louder one but I think if you change the down pipe it'll need a remap. You could just change the back box. If you do a search ( above) you'll find loads of threads on it.

Remember and put ""on each "word".

Can I suggest that you drive the car for a few weeks just to get used to it?

Loud exhaust are great when 'gunning' down the road but they are a pain in the **** on a daily basis.

Hayward & Scott are popular and British made - I had a Blitz Nur Spec R on my Hawkeye and loved it. Youtube is your friend for exhaust sounds.

Here you go...

In all seriousness, is it your daily driver and do you have neighbours?

Both the raptor and blitz are silly loud and should be banned in my opinion. The team ice exhaust is not for road use anyway.

There are two different types of Blitz Nur Spec exhausts, the type R is a quieter version with less cabin noise at normal speeds, and then a nice roar at high RPM. The one in the YouTube clip is a type R exhaust, it's fairly neighbour friendly actually.
