My 4 Pot Brake Caliper Refurb
Hi all,
I alway enjoy reading other people projects so I thought about time I did one.
I bought this pair of calipers as an upgrade for my 2pot versions. I got them off eBay for £80 as they needed a bit of work doing to them, the pistons were a wee bit stiff.
On the whole they're in pretty good condition, but I'm going to have them completely stripped everything that can be replaced and renewed will be. But before this I'm going to get the pistons pushed out and have them media blasted and then painted.
Here's what they look like when I bought them, plus a little bit of WD40 to help strip them apart.

Just dropped the calipers off to my local engineering shop to get the calipers split, bleed nipples removed and all 8 pistons pulled out.
Yes I could have removed them myself, but for £20 I couldn't be bothered. They were just too siezed for me to be messing about with, getting no where fast.

I was think blue with white letter, but then I some silver and black yesterday that look pretty cool too.
I don't fancy red as the interior is blue and I think that would clash.

I'm thinking a slightly dark blue, to match the STi 8 seats. Colbolt blue I think its called. I think the raised writting needs paint too. not sure about white, but I don't think any other colour will go.
