Finally after 4.5 months of non-Scooby ownership and having to drive the SLK around, this Sunday for collection is looming!! And the Scooby is coming alive again!

For those of you who didnt know I popped the engine coming over the IOM Mountain Road at around 150mph (Never buy a car from us ) and patched it up. Frank (M0NEY) sourced me a very nice EJ22 Turbo block as well as turbo, ECU etc and I was put in contact with John Dance.

It is ALMOST complete now with a custom FMIC which is apparantly going to flow better than a HKS (Soon see!). Dropped off the car a month ago with John and during that time a STI Interior has been added, Bilstein PSS9 Suspension, AP Racing 4 Pots, Cusco Strut Brace and god knows what else has gone on it!

Story Line will be posted from when the car went pop and all the rebuild pictures soon

Turbo is MD498 from Mark @ Lateral
Cossie Racing Pistons
PAR Billet Rods
WRC Cams
HKS Manifold
Loads of gauges and stuff!

Big thanks to everyone who has helped on this project with the majority going to:

John Dance (Impreziv Motorsport) - Selling me his engine! And building it!
Frank (M0NEY) - Talking me into far too many mods.... Git
David Wallis - Putting up with emails from me asking loads of questions! And for sorting the spacers for me.
Mark Aigin (Lateral Performance) - Again putting up with all my questions!
Pavlo - Putting up with me And being very helpful on the ECU side of things.
Andy F - Selling me his Microtech ECU and mapping it soon.
Paul (South Coast Performance IOM) - For holding the shell for 2.5 months whilst made up my mind on the engine!

And anyone else I cant think of right now

I have found copper grease on the threads, and overall covering with waxoil to be an excellent combination as far as coil over bodies goes. The cuscos are either chrome or nickel plated which is better (more robust) than the zinc of the Ledas. But still best to get eveything nicely lubed.

I've had no problems in adjusting my Ledas and they have been on the car for ages now with no rust (as it should be).

Try ringing my mate Andy at HT Howards. He runs an engineering business specialising in engine rebuilds, and he may well be able to help you out. 01753 525549
