VW Passat TDi PD130 Sport - Bargain of the year
Just buying a new car and as usual the trade in on my current vehicle is laughable, so I have the bargain of the year if anyone is interested or know someone who might be.
It's a 2001 model top of the range diesel Passat Tdi, Pd130 Sport in the metallic anthracite grey colour.
6 speed box, 6 cd changer, driving lights, auto-sensor wipers, climate control but no leather and no cruise control.
Mileage is 125k almost completely motorway miles and it’s never once missed a beat in the time I have owned it.
The car has full VAG service history, most recently the 125k service just 2 weeks ago. MOT is July, tax has about 8 months IIRC.
All tyres and brakes have ample life, however it was fitted previously with non-VW pads which makes a warning light come up on the dash.
The car has no crash / stolen / finance history etc.
Paintwork is spotless except for a couple of chips and marks on the boot from my bike rack, but you can have the entire boot 'flash' sprayed for about £80-100. The interior is also in VGC, frankly you wouldn't believe it has done 125k, *however* it is pretty dirty. The seats need a complete shampoo (due to post-riding energy drink spillages) and valet. Again, nothing a full £100-150 valet / shampoo would not put completely right.
The car returns 45mpg on average, and has taken me to the alps and back on less than 2 tanks of fuel. The torque makes it effortless around town and the 6 speed box makes it a fine motorway cruiser.
If you look on autotrader the same mileage and spec sells all day long for between £6,000 and £7,000. I'm looking for exactly the £4300 I still owe on the car. I can settle the finance myself too in advance of sale of the car if that makes like easier for the purchaser.
Frankly, its the bargain of the year, simply because I just don't have time to get it cleaned up, advertised, test driven and sold to joe bloggs. If I can't get a buyer within a few days, the dealer is having it, its that simple
It looks like this (when its clean!)

Where's the catch? There isn't one, and it'll sell very quick at that price.
Car is located in Greenwich, SE London.

Similar models sell for £6 to £7k i dont think so. Dont get me wrong your price is reasonable but they dont fetch that much.
Good luck with the sale anyway as i have had one of these and they are top motors :-)
