Hi all,

Just got the car sold and have these left over!!

They will fit all impreza's from MY93 - MY99

All parts still in packing.

Never been used, only been out the box to take these photo's!!

Got them from Arizona, but didn't get a chance to fit them.

They cost me £220, so i'll let them go for £160.

Also have a replacement air filter brand new, never been fitted

some spare indicators for a classic scooby. Open to offers for these!!

Please email if interested.

Cheers.

Richard,

4" would be far too low for 18"s but remember they can be adjusted.

They can go as low as 4" but they can be set to what you want.

http://www.ractive.com will tell you more.

Cheers.

How firm are they? I've got 18's & the offset is marginally to wide for the arches so if I blatt down a country road and hit a dip I can sometimes rub my rear arches. Want to stop this really. How do these things work anyway? Do they use your original shocks or something?

Hi guys,

I've been getting a lot of questions as to how these coilovers work.

I asked this question myself about 3 weeks ago and got the reply

"You keep your original dampers and the coilover spring replaces your original spring mount".

Not being very technical, i couldn't tell you what this means!!

I'am a bit of an impulse buyer!! i.e. buy things then ask how they work later on!!!!

But go to http://www.ractive.com

This gives your more details about them.

But i didn't get the opportunity to get to my local garage and ask them how much or what they would need to do to get these fitted!!

So i'm unable to say how and how much it will cost to fit them.

Cheers for the interest.

You have to cut the spring platforms off your standard dampers so you are left with just a strut then the coilover fits onto the damper...

Well p!ssed off..
I paid for a new set of eibachs a day before you advertised these, for the same price

How comes no one has bought these yet??? a set of height adjustables for the price of a set of lowering springs???

Rob,

I know what you mean!!

I think its because they don't come with dampers!!! you keep your original ones, and because you need to a wee bit of welding to get them fitted!!

Tell you what Ali, if no one realises a bargain when they see it and you still have em next month i'll buy em...
I may be able to sell my eibachs to a friend without too much loss.
False economy but want height adjustable...

these look like a neat piece of kit to me. looking at the photos provided, i would say they replace the springs by seating on a standard damper (no hacksaw required). the adjusters would have to be put on a the bottom surely as they would not be accessible otherwise.

like this:

the small hole now at the top uses the standard cup and the rubber inserts help the flat coilover spring sit where the normal spring sat.

P.S. adroy i dont need them i just thought they were cool. does it give any spring rates (lb/ft, kN/m etc etc)
