Peugeot 205 1.9 GTi-S
Due to change of circumstances my 205 is up for sale.
For those that don't know, Skip Brown Cars is a company that was involved in the development of 205's as well as preparing 205/309 rally cars from the 80's (they started with Lotus Sunbeams)
A little info about the company and the engine conversion can be found here: http://www.205gtidrivers.com/articles/e1-sbc.html
Engine:
Roadspeed 1.9 'S' Engine: Fully rebuilt, blueprinted and balanced 1.9 8v bottom end, modified gas-flowed cylinder head with stainless steel exhaust valves and 270 degrees camshaft, lightened TTV flywheel, Mocal 10-row oil cooler, K&N 57i induction kit, alloy Nissens radiator, Samco silicone hoses.
The engine is mapped on an Emerald K3 ECU.
An Innovate wideband controller is fitted for monitoring purposes and at the same time is also used to run closed loop on partial throttle which helps in both the fuel economy and getting rid of the kangarooing 205's on standard ECU /Jetronic are renowned for.
The car does 28 - 37 mpg depending on the driving style.
Drivetrain:
GTI 1.9 gearbox, Quaife ATB limited slip differential, SBC quickshift linkage.
Suspension:
Skip Brown cars phase 1 - revalved Bilstein shocks, dual rate front springs (-25mm) and rear torsion bars adjusted to suit front ride height.
Skip Brown Cars phase 2 - uprated torsion bars (20mm), uprated rear anti-roll bar (23mm) and rear negative camber suspension kit.
OMP front upper strut brace, rebuilt rear beam (6k miles ago), GrpA rear axle mounts.
Steering:
3.2 turns PAS rack and system
Brakes:
Goodrich braided brake hoses and DS2500 fast road pads.
Ferodo DOT5.1 brake fluid.
Wheels and tyres:
6x15" GTI 1.9 wheels in Goodwood style, 195/50/15 Hankook S1 Evo tyres.
Interior:
Half alcantara/cloth Recaro seats from a Mitsubishi Evo 4 with Recaro subframes; the remaining interior and rear seats (matching cloth from a 1.6) are standard.
The car has done 181k miles but don't let this put you off as the chassis and bodywork are solid and in good condition for its age and most of the mechanical parts have been replaced.
The engine has done 75k miles and has had the head gasket, cambelt and water pump replaced 6k miles ago.
All suspension components have done 6k miles.
Recent new parts include: Peugeot (ECIA) exhaust backbox, hatch door's rubber seal, expansion header tank and low level coolant sensor.
£4,500 ovno
It has cost me a lot more to build it to this spec.
The car be sold for a lower price with the original Jetronic injection/standard ECU and/or with the original half leather interior which is in fantastic condition.
A complete list of specification and work carried out with photos is available on request.

I've seen some real **** heaps when it comes to 205's, this one looks great, especially when it comes to the miles, body work looks fantastic for its age, a big to you for keeping her in excellent condition
Tony
PS, the seats are baffling they look a bit like the recaro's out of an evo 4.
