Tommi Makinen Evo VI for sale
I have this Tommi Makinen EVO 6 for sale.
Car was first registered on 01/04/2000.
First registered in the UK on 01/04/2007.
When imported to the UK it had 81,652km on it which equals 50,736 miles. It has since done another 16,350 miles which equals roughly 67100 miles (98000km) although this may go up as the car is still used occassionally.
For anyone that does not know exactly what a Tommi Makinen is heres the spec.....
Launched as a limited series model to commemorate rally ace Tommi Makinen's prodigious feat of winning his fourth consecutive Drivers' Championship in the World Rally Championship. The Evolution VI Tommi Makinen Edition was also designed for optimum performance on tarmac and features interior and exterior trim reflecting a WRC theme.
Road performance was improved with a high-response titanium turbocharger giving better low-end and mid-range torque, using a smaller, shape-optimized compressor wheel. (Standard on GSR; factory option on RS). A different exhaust system was also used, unique to the Tommi Makinen Edition. Handling was improved too with a front upper strut brace and the tarmac suspension was lowered by 10mm and tuned to give improved initial response on tarmac surfaces. The quicker steering rack from the RS models was also fitted for more responsive steering.
The front bumper featured a new powerful design that improved aerodynamics and lowered air intake temperature to stabilize power output characteristics. The front bumper extension brought further improvements to aerodynamic performance with redesigned airflow ducting.
17-inch alloy wheels were used that share the same design as on Mitsubishi's WRC Group-A works car.

I have receipts for servicing work done to the car.
May 2007 at Greersport Racing..
Full service and check over, irridium spark plugs, filter, oil, transfer oil, front and rear Mintex pads, battery, fluids topped, hand brake adjusted. Total £447.
May 2008 Timing belt fitted.
June 2009 Oil filter, engine oil etc.
July 2010 Oil, filter, battery, sundries, check.
There previous MOT certs from import. @ 81652km, 87302km, 94872,97286. Car was last MOT'd on 30 July 2011.
Car is taxed until 31/12/2011.
The car is fitted with a Thatcham 1 alarm and immobiliser with receipt and installation certificate supplied. I also have both sets of keys with working fobs.
Mechanically the car is perfect, with no smoke whatsoever from the engine on start up or on boost.
There are no notchy gear changes or any gear selection problems.
The clutch does not slip and feels perfect.
There are no knocks or rattles from the front or rear suspension components
There are no strange noises or whines from the gearbox or diff.
The Brembo brake calipers have also been refurbished.
The car is undersealed and has been kept off the road over the past few winters.
The bodywork of the car is as perfect as you will find on an 11 year old car with 67000 miles on it. There are no scratches, scrapes or dents on it. the only bodywork blemish is above the handle on the passenger side rear door where someone has rubbed or polished a mark from the paintwork and has almost rubbed through the white paint. I tried to photograph it but cant, and to be honest its not really visible unless it's pointed out.
Every panel gap on the car is absolutely perfect, I have checked the area behind the bumper, inner wings, doors, sills, rear panels, bootlid, rear bumper, underneath etc. and have not seen anything to indicate that any panels have ever been replaced or that the car was ever involved in an accdent.
The rims are fitted with 225/45/17 tyres with 75% tread left and no uneven wear, the rims are genuine Ralliart rims and have a few very minor marks
All the check lights and engine management lights on the dash light up and go out again correctly.
All electrical components and accessories work correctly.
There is a DVD player with flip out screen fitted.
The seats are not ripped or worn, the carpets are not ripped or worn.
I had previously detailed the car before I owned it.
It received a full paintwork correction and the engine bay was also detailed. As I was detailing the car I was very impressed how straight and genuine the car actually was.
The front bumper has been resprayed previously but this would be understandable due to stone chips.
The car is HPI checked and clear, I have the printout here but feel free to check it for yourself.

Lovely looking car-doesn't seem that long ago these were fetching 15 - 16k then other day i was on ebay looking at a few and saw they was only this sort of price now.

Thanks for the comments lads.
Some of them still seem to fetch crazy money, theres some on the MLR for £14,000+ and theres even some that have sold for more.
I reckon mine is priced very well.
But they'll never sound as nice as a Scoob.

UP FOR SALE AGAIN...............
Due to a change in the personal circumstances of the prospective buyer the Tommi is still for sale.
I have put 6 months road tax on it now and that will come with the car at the same price...£8250 (straight sale price)
