I've had 150 out of my car (Corrado VR6) and my mate commented on how stable and quiet it was at high speeds. Mind you, I had 140 out of my mk2 16v which was scary. Was stable though, just a lot noisier. I'm sure there a plenty of scoob drivers about here who've done 140+. I think they'd probably feel OK at those speeds. But if something goes wrong at these speeds then you're in trouble, so it's best to test on an airstrip/track or a very very very empty open stretch of motorway.

Nothing prepares you adequately for seeing a Vanquish up clase on the public road. If ever the phrase "jaw-dropping" was appropriate for a car, this is it. Absolutely unbelievable...

A client of mine manufactures the ECU'S for Aston Martin and they have had a Vanquish in thier workshop for at least 12 months now and you would cry when you see what they do to it on the rollers and then strip out all the electrics and create faults on it to see what happens. Its amazing what you can do with 2 V6 mondeo engines and a welder.

Peformance wise, it's hard to justify the extra £50,000 over a DB7 V12 Vantage.
I thought they were gorgeous til I saw one in the flesh and was resoundly un-gobsmacked by it.
If they're all honeycomb aluminium sandwich construction blah blah, why do they weigh so much ?
And why are they moving from Newport Pagnell to Gaydon *sniff*
Going from 300 -> 3000 units a year is going to undermine their cache.

Have seen two now. I would agree they are not the prettiest car in thew world, but F**K Me are they stunning in the metal.
My ultimate car always used to be a black V8 Vantage 600, it is now a blue Vanquish.
P.S. I can't speak for Imprezas, but anything 130+ and my Legacy Turbo gets very light and 'weavy' on the front end, the 4 pots stop it on its nose though.
