Default mazda 6 died after plugging gps in cigarette lighter socket

As above mazda 6 (52 reg) died after plugging gps in cigarette lighter socket and now wont start. I have checked all the fuses and non are blown and the ignition relay is clicking but there is no spark (had spark plug out and checked) still turns over just wont fire. Does anyone have an idea what else it could be?

cheers Paul.

"TomTom" becomes "Kill Bill" ??

Does the cigar lighter still work? If not it may have fused something, or maybe just coincidence - bizarre

Yeah I know its scoobynet not mazdanet just wanted to see if any of the talented people on here might have an idea what it could be before forking out for a garage or auto electrician look at it. I will see if the cigarette lighter works still, sounds like a good place to start the weird thing is all the other electrics work and no blown fuses all the other electrics work

Ok gents been back out today and had another look about. I had the battery on charge over night an now that's got a full charge tried again to start her with no such luck. I had the plugs out again and it seems there is spark but only the first instance the engine is turned over. Also had the hose off that meets the fuel rail and there is a nice flow of fuel when turned over so guessing the fuel pump relay is ok. I also checked the cigarette lighter and funny enough it is still working lol any ideas any 1?

if it sparks and then stops again while turning over it could be the immobiliser. the sat nav could have spiked it somehow, have u got or tried the spare key?

ok dont think it is the immobilizer as the key light goes out when the key is placed in the ignition which it says it should in the owners manual

Sounds like its nothing to do with you plugging the gps into cigarette socket, just a coincidence, seems like there's a bit more to it, I would ask on a Mazda forum tbh and then get a mechanic to have a look.
