Default Worn brake disk

I don't know the full story, but some women took her car in for an oil change and mentioned a slight grinding noise coming from the front od the car, mechs pictured this mess, she done well

I don't think so, what you are looking at is the middle bit of the picture below..

It's impressive that the discs hasn't just disintegrated though, although I am amazed that the cat stopped at all

looks like a chrysler voyager setup,big motor with no brakes !!!!
i think even vosa will let me fail those discs on a mot for being excessively worn lol

Showed the wife the first picture, she said "what's it supposed to look like?". Seems my position in the household as being responsible for the cars is safe then!

Looks faked if you ask me.

I deal with brakes all the time where people have boned the pads and there's no way they'd do that to the disc. The pad and caliper would be worn away. I've changed many calipers due to this.

It looks to me like someone's machined the face of the disc off and set it up. If you look round the centre it's 'worn' bigger than where the pad touches anyway.
