I had a 2003 petrol Mondeo for work once, and it ran well until it went. Post 2007 Mondeos tds are quite liked by people. I think the 2006 one on Ebay seems ok, but I won't pay 5000 for it. I will give him 3k, and take it of his hands. It may have FSH, but it has had enough work done on it as well. BTW, I didn't see how much mileage the car has done on the advert either. You wanna make sure whether it has been ragged or what. Then only its worth buying. Gagrages are good in tarting things up. Don't get fooled by it.

That could be because some don't need to carry surfing gear in the boot, you numptie. They neither have a dog nor do they cart around tonnes of workload in the back of their estates like I do. Nothing wrong with saloons. Mondeo has a good size boot for normal people, anyway.

So what have you got? Just one of them? If so, wise move there. No point keeping two vehicles if you don't need to.

I had an ST TDCi for a couple of years. Great cars, reliable and suprisingly nimble! It was as quick if not quicker 30 - 60 than my 03 WRX

Take the 46mpg with a pinch of salt. I never saw anything like that.

One of the common faults is the injectors failing after 50k miles. I had 2 go and had to shell out £600+ to have them replaced and re-coded.

If I was to buy again I'd just go for a 130bhp TDCi.

I had an ST220 Mondeo and loved it, drove really well and was 100% reliable never had a single issue with it, the only car I have never had an issue with tbh.
Good car the ST diesel, my mate has one and he loves it.

Compared to a Scoob they're great! I used to get high 30's with my mixed commute. However on a run, 50 was attainable. You have to weigh up the performance you get with the mpg.

Either get the ST or for a few quid less and a better mpg get a 130bhp Mondeo.
