To my surprise I was keeping up with one of these last night up to the speed limits of course
he was definately gunning it, in my standard my99 bar backbox. I thought these porkers had like 300+bhp, V8 isnt it? Any1 know the 0-60 on these?

well up to about 60 or 70? i think not... jus found that the 0-60 is 6secs, so a standard scoob is quicker (5.5s) or same as
Thats pretty lame 6secs for 320bhp hehe.

I'll give you an example. An M3 in the magazines is 5.4
Any scoob less than 280bhp wont be able to beat sometimes not even keep up with an M3 E36 EVO ..Even though magz got wrx's for 5sec.But yeah Porsche 928 is very very heavy

According to Evo magazine...
Porsche 928 GTS - 5396cc - V8 - 350bhp - 317lb ft - 1790kg
199bhp/ton - 171mph top - 0-60 in 5.2 secs.
Scoob 2.0 Turbo - 1994cc - Flat4 - 215bhp - 214lb ft - 1235kg
177bhp/ton - 144mph top - 0-60 in 5.4 secs
(which is pretty optimistic)
Either he wasn't totally playing or he was running on fumes in search of a petrol station (more likely - these things can only manage a touring mpg of 17 !! Ouch !!).
Scoob MY99 - great car and on me Crimble list
but I'm afraid he'd whoop you in a straight line if he wanted to !!
Was it wet by any chance ??

I've driven a 928S4 a LOT. If its an auto, forget quick get aways from standstill, wheelspin city, you have to get it rolling in 2nd (pulls away in 2nd) and then kickdown to first at bout 5-10mph.
It does weigh a lot (nearly 2000kg!) but once its moving it is QUICK. Probably not much in it upto 100mph but above that it would leave most scoobs that arent running big BHP.

From: the fastest rentals in town......0-100mph in 10 seconds
Ask Stef what his 0-60 was with just the usual exhaust and filter mods
My car UK MY94 with 260bhp was timed at 5 seconds dead at TRAX on my first and only attempt and I hit the rev limiter in first. I'm sure if I tried again I could've got it under 5

The scooby's 0-60 time is related directly to your wallet. If clutch wear, etc doesn't bother you I'm sure near on 5 seconds is achieveable. Most normal people wanting to give their car a thrashing but without murdering it would get about 6. Nice to know the potential is there though.
