It's new-ish but try http://www.uk-mkivs.net/forum/default.asp

I would be interested to hear how you get along with the Golf as I'm thinking of going down the same route. Also any problems px the scoob?

I'm looking at trading my Scoob for a Golf PD150, part-ex offers have been poor so far (around £13K for MY 00 at 24K) but www.tins.co.uk have come up with the best deal so far.

Cheers

Hi boot,

Which one did you get? I got a 110 TDI a couple of months ago, I fitted one of the tuning boxes (Kuberl) makes a big difference and increases the fuel economy by about 40 miles per tank.

I fancy the 150, maybe in a year or two when there are a few S?H ones about.

Cheers

Andy

I got a 1999 TDI S,mega low insurance,60 to the gallon and good build quality I part exchanged scoob sob sob for this great mile muncher, will miss the fun that you can have in scoob but at least I can park this most places with out drawing the unwanted attention,My intention is to keep this for 12 months and part it for a golf 150TDI.

Here is some think interesting, when I was looking for one of these golfs I went back to the ralliart dealer were I had my scoob from, they had a golf 150 TDI which they had been playing with in the work shop. They reccon they had it running at just over 190 BHP,they told me it had as much touqe as the evo 7 ( which they should know about as they are one of the main evo dealers ), they had to reduce the power to around 170bhp because it was givin to much strain on the 6 speed box but that is still powerful for one of these. If I had brought that car home and the found out how much it was, it would have been back to single life.It was around 15 grand with a masive set of alloys on as well, it did look very nice as golfs go.
