Default Maybe subarus are a good price just now ??!!

Been watching the following ebay add for a while now and cant honestly believe bids are sitting as high as they are for what a cat d car with 100k + miles on the clock !!!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...:B:WNA:GB:1123

must admitt thou its looks lovely and all the parts are GENUINE !!!

GENUINE parts that must have cost a bob or two to buy in the first place !! but think by the end off the auction the guy will be fairly happy with the price achieved !!!

pity it went past the 5k stage as I think i may just have put in a bid myself, nearest I would ever get to driving one off these even if it is just a replica !!!

indeed you could get yourself a lot of serious horsepower for 8.5 k - or stick 6k in the bank and muck around in this for next to nothing

Yep I know mate !! hence posting in " Other Marques " !!

nope apart from being stumped why folk are bidding so high on this.... a 2005 cat d car with over 100k on the clock cant help but feel that with the current prices off wrx/ sti cars it makes them somewhat off a bargain in comparasion !!

again I personally like this rs4 replica but cant help but wonder why someone would purchase what must be many thousands off pounds worth off GENUINE audi parts !!

lol - I just assumed that with a title about Subarus, it would be some bolted-together Scoob.

Granted, I forgot it was in other marques

oh yeh!

On the surface, looks like a very well put-together project.
The Cat D thing would stop me in my tracks until I saw the underneath in relation to the accident repair.

Seems like a LOT of money has been spent on it, and I can't really think why. I would have though you would make much more money flogging the parts on Audi forums, and revert the car to standard.

And being picky, the interior is let down by not going the whole hog and installing these: -

yes. I'm aware the pic is Golf R seats, but aside from the "RS4" stitchin, they're pretty much the same

I love how the bidders haven't realised that the likely reason for it having a whole bunch of genuine RS4 panels is because the majority/all of the original panels were previously damaged!

But thats the thing mate cat d is supposdly not that bad ie if it was case off requiring all new panels would it not have been cat c ???

whatever it is the buyer wll probably worryingly never actually know and pics off the car in its damaged state would probably put the majority off folk well off !!

again looks a lovely car thou and at the right price just might have put a bid in !!

He hasn't said that he has an invoice for all the genuine panels, I'd wager that a fair few RS4's have been nicked and this is partly where they end up!

Its a **** advert, little or no info about the car. People need to back up thier ideas and put some work into their ad's for a start.

Being the car has loads of receipts i would beware that the owner hasn't replaced the balljoint and put 12months ticket on it just for starters. balljoint will cost £100 to replace and an MOT £40.00 at a lot of places) makes this car a lot more attractive and valuable. I would have concernes that this owner has just not looked after it.
