Yes thats very true and offers you greater diversity of chocie and an insurance against the cars finding fault and being the one who has to stump up the cost to get it back on the road.
Still personally i don't understand the desire to drive these great machines on that basis. My love for cars is about ownership, having something special for yourself, something that is a labour of love and something you are proud of.....each to his own though

In the States this concept is known as 'Fractional Ownership'. I'm sure it's not a scam but I wouldn't buy a whole Ferrari 360 off eBay, never mind a quarter of one.
Where fractional ownership is more appropriate is yachts. And if the caravanning world would grasp the concept too, the world would be a better place. How many times have you been stuck behind a caravan and seen another caravan go the other way? Just put the 2 people in touch and get them to share 1 caravan!

The problem with these things is that you cannot trust others to look after stuff in the way that you would yourself.
We've just spunked a fortune on a brand new 35x12 static caravan and it will sit unused on our croft land in the highlands for the vast majority of the year save for 3 weeks in the summer, the odd week here and there and a few weekends. I'd only need to rent it for 6 weeks of the year over its expected lifespan in order to recoup the money we paid on it. But it is ours, with our stuff in it, and I'd hate the thought of other (usually careless) people using it.
In much the same way I'd hate to share a car or pretty much anything where care/maintenance is a factor.

With an ebay username like that you'd think they were a member on here!?
I have some reservations about the use of a limited company for this structure. The company car rules are likely to hit and this would add another major cost to the investment.
I could suggest an alternative vehicle to use that would provide the limited liability protection that they are presumably seeking.
Sorry for being a bit dull !! :-)
